On six occasions, the writer and journalist will welcome an actor from the company on the stage of the Théâtre du Vieux-Colombier, to question him about his years of apprenticeship and the mechanics of his art. In the course of the interview, the actor will deliver a true master class: in relation to his school and his teachers, how he learned to walk on a stage, to have consideration for his partners, to speak prose, to utter Alexandraine verse, to control his breathing and concentration and to master silence. “Theory, application, exercises”, the organiser continues, “every aspect of this most particular and in the end little known work should be approached and illustrated through demonstration.”
