Young audiences under 28

Because a significant proportion of theatre audiences is made up of young people of varying ages and backgrounds, the Comédie-Française has introduced tailored booking options and different forms of support suited to different stages of their lives. Today, under-28s account for 26% of the Comédie-Française's annual audience. 

  • Under 28 benefit from a concession rate: 

    Salle Richelieu: €27 in category A, €18 in category B, €12 in category C 
    Théâtre du Vieux-Colombier: €19
    Studio-Théâtre: €18
     

  • Every Monday at the Salle Richelieu, up to 85 Category D seats are offered free of charge to under-28s, one hour before the start of the performance, without prior booking (1 seat per person, subject to proof of eligibility, within the limit of available seats) at the Petit Bureau (external box office, rue de Richelieu, Paris 1st arrondissement)

  • As part of the Pass Culture scheme, the Comédie-Française offers individual deals for young people to attend productions and take part in guided tours and talks at the Salle Richelieu, by booking on the Pass Culture platform or app.

  • Specially designed for under-28s, the Young Person's Pass provides access to preferential-rate seats for productions at the Opéra national de Paris and the Comédie-Française, along with other benefits.

    Priced at €20, available exclusively from the Opéra national de Paris from 8 September 2026 at 12pm.
