This Sketch is the meeting between a man of the theatre, Simon Eine, and one of the greatest thinkers of the 20th century, Roland Barthes.
Simon Eine pays tribute to the French semiotician who modernised literary and artistic criticism while offering a dense and intimate journey into the heart of Barthes’ thinking, assisted for the dramaturgy by Jean-Loup Rivière.
Reading premiered on 1 and 2 October 2009 at the Espace des Arts, Scène Nationale de Chalon-sur-Saône.
