Alain Souchon is an artist, a melancholic loner, a poetic and seductive dandy. This eternal teenager racked by doubts enjoys his successes away from consumerist frenzy. His peculiar journey as a charismatic flâneur runs through this Ballade created and directed by Françoise Gillard, who gathered a multi-generational cast made up of six actresses and three musicians – two men and one woman. “What moves me most about Souchon’s personality is his way of crossing the ages, seemingly without a care in the world...”
