All of the Comédie-Française’s areas have their own history. The torch having been passed on for over three centuries, the house has gathered an exceptional collection of pictures and sculptures depicting the Comédie-Française’s authors, actors, or daily life. Discover this unique collection at the Salle-Richelieu with guided tours about the history and innerworkings of the Troupe from 1680 to our current time.

- Contrary to productions, it is not necessary to arrive 45 minutes in advance for guided tours. As the doors only open at 11 am, visitors must arrive on time, with their tickets and proof of eligibility for reductions. The proof of eligibility must be presented to the guide along with the tickets.
- No duplicates or exchange of tickets is possible.
- The tour begins under the peristyle of the Comédie-Française, next to the ticket desk.
- Visitors may not leave the visit before the end.
- Photography is prohibited during the visit.
