Accompanied by musician and arranger Benoît Urbain, Véronique Vella created a musical tribute to poets whose work was turned into songs.
As a master of both the spoken and sung word, she tackles the theme of love deployed in the work of Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Genet, and Cadou, magnificently shared by a variety of 20th and 21st century voices. The show’s title is a reference to Ferré; the poet said “Poetry is an outcry; it must be heard like music.” After its Studio-Théâtre premiere this season, the show will set off on a tour of France.
