A living heritage. Every space in the Comédie-Française speaks of its history, its richness and specificity stemming from more than three centuries of continuous activity. The library-museum team, under the direction of its curator-archivist, is responsible for the preservation and promotion of the exceptional heritage of the House of Molière.

Our lecture/ tour combos were designed for groups – organisations, work councils, friend groups, SMEs…
Discover the history of the Comédie-Française through its collections of artworks and learn about its innerworkings: the Troupe, the Répertoire, Alternating Productions, the three theatres and the crafts.

Booking conditions
It is compulsory to reserve by contacting the Comédie-Française library-museum at +33 1 44 58 13 16.
Due to very high demand and the limited places available, we ask you to kindly confirm your options two months before the date of visit, either by email at bibliotheque-musee@comedie-francaise.org, or by fax at +33 1 44 58 13 59, failing which the visit will be cancelled.

This confirmation must mention and include:

  • the name of the organiser and his/her mobile phone number
  • the name and contact details of the organisation or association
  • the number of participants
  • the date and time of the visit

The organisation or association booking the visit guarantees that:

  • it is not a commercial entity
  • it is not re-invoicing the visit to one or more third parties
  • it will be answerable for the behaviour of the visitors
  • it will make sure that visitors do not take pictures inside the theatre

In return, all the information relating to your visit along with an the invoice will be sent to you, by post, approximately one month before the visit.
The list of participants must be submitted by fax or email ten days before the visit.
Any cancellation by the customer, for a visit that has already been invoiced, will result in a fixed deduction of €30. In the case of a last-minute cancellation (less than 8 days before the date of the visit) the cost of the visit remains payable in full.

FOLLOW THE STEPS OF MOLIÈRE

Follow in Molière’s steps, from the Saint-Eustache church where he was baptised to the rue de Richelieu where he drew his last breath, and visit the Comédie-Française. This discovery walk is the perfect opportunity to learn more about the life of this actor, playwright, and troupe director.

For school groups (primary school pupils from ages 10 and up, secondary school pupils and students in higher education): groups of between fifteen and thirty young people supervised by adults (ratio of one to eight). Insurance must be paid by the school.

ATTENTION

La Comédie-Française participe aux journées du Patrimoine les samedi 21 et dimanche 22 septembre 2024.
Trois visites-conférences sont proposées ces deux jours à 9H30 /10H et 10H30.

L’inscription à l’une de ses visites (3 places maximum par personne) se fait uniquement par mail, le 4 septembre 2024 à partir de 8H.

L’adresse électronique sera communiquée le 1er septembre. Les inscriptions se feront dans l’ordre de réception des courriels.

Le nombre de places est limitée à 30 personnes par visite.

En raison du renforcement des mesures de sécurité dans le cadre du plan Vigipirate « Urgence attentat », nous vous demandons de vous présenter 30 minutes avant le début de la représentation afin de faciliter le contrôle.

Nous vous rappelons également qu’un seul sac (de type sac à main, petit sac à dos) par personne est admis dans l’enceinte des trois théâtres de la Comédie-Française. Tout spectateur se présentant muni d’autres sacs (sac de courses, bagage) ou objets encombrants, se verra interdire l’entrée des bâtiments.
