After being trained at the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Lyon under the direction of Philippe Sire, Jérémy Lopez joined the 69th class of the École nationale supérieure des arts et techniques du théâtre (National Higher School for Performing Arts and Techniques – ENSATT). During his training, he has mainly worked with Richard Brunel, Philippe Sire, Laurent Brethome, Sandrine Lanno, Stéphane Auvray-Noroy, Joseph Fioramante, Philippe Delaigue, Olivier Maurin, Olivier Rey and Cécile Bournay, etc.

At the ENSATT, he played the role of Lindoro under the direction of Jean-Pierre Vincent in Goldoni’s trilogy entitled The Love of Zelinda and Lindoro, of Claude Buchvald in La Folie Sganarelle, farces by Molière, of Guillaume Levêque in Botho Strauss's Final Chorus, and of Philippe Delaigue, Olivier Maurin and Johanny Bert in Decalogue.
In the theater, he played under the direction of Laurent Brethome (Wenceslao’s Shadow by Copi, And God said, “Let there be light!” And there was darkness,” a cabaret by Hanoch Levin), of Guillaume Fulconis (Dionysos in Zone, a rewriting of the Euripides’ Bacchae for the Shanghai World Expo), and of Philippe Sire (Gogol’s The Marriage).
Along with Damien Robert, he has also directed Almost Macbeth based on Shakespeare, Heiner Müller and André Benedetto.

Jérémy Lopez joined the Comédie-Française as a pensionnaire on October 26, 2010 to perform the role of Antonio, the Concierge and the Military in Feydeau's Un fil à la patte (Cat Among the Pigeons) directed by Jérôme Deschamps. He also played the role of Harlequin in Marivaux's Slave Island directed by Benjamin Jungers, of Bottom in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream directed by Muriel Mayette-Holtz, of the Prince in Andersen’s The Princess and the Pea directed by Édouard Signolet, of Stanley Webber in Harold Pinter’s The Birthday Party directed by Claude Mouriéras.

He has also played the roles of Alexei Petrovitch Fedotik, second lieutenant in Chekhov's The Three Sisters directed by Alain Françon, of Thersites in Shakespeare’s Troilus and Cressida directed by Jean-Yves Ruf, of Pierrot and Don Alonse in Molière's Don Juan or the Feast With the Statue staged by Jean-Pierre Vincent, of wedding male guest, a Troll, Dr. Begriffenfeldt and a sailor in Ibsen’s Peer Gynt staged by Éric Ruf, of Cléante in Molière's The Imaginary Invalid directed by Claude Stratz, of Horace in Molière's The School for Wives directed by Jacques Lassalle, of Ernesto in Duras’s Summer Rain directed by Emmanuel Daumas.

He also played the roles of Ladislas, the People, and Giron in Alfred Jarry’s Ubu Roi directed by Jean-Pierre Vincent, of Jimmy and a cop in Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill’s The Threepenny Opera staged by Laurent Pelly, of Pistol in Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor directed by Andrés Lima, and of Galopin in Molière’s The Critique of the School for Wives staged by Clément Hervieu-Léger. He has also sung in Cabaret Boris Vian directed by Serge Bagdassarian and in Cabaret Georges Brassens directed by Thierry Hancisse.
